HADLEY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Lake Luzerne woman was arrested on Wednesday following a hit-and-run investigation, where according to New York State Police, she ran over a victim with her car following a verbal argument and fled the scene. On Wednesday, July 26, around 6:36 p.m., police responded to the area of Stewart Bridge Road in Hadley for a report of a severely injured individual. The victim was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment, and police began an investigation.Per New York State Police, their investigation found Baker was in a verbal argument with the victim in the early morning hours. During the altercation, she reportedly drove her car recklessly, struck the victim, and ran them over. ST. LOUIS -- Meteorologist Chris Higgins is tracking storm damage after some severe weather swept through the area early Thursday morning. He is reporting some issues at the water treatment plant near Bonne Terre.There is high water along Turkey Creek, but most of the damage is from high winds near Bonne Terre and Farmington. There are reports of downed power lines.Higgins reported on flash flooding in Gerald, Illinois Wednesday. First responders were called to a water rescue early Thursday morning. A retired Denver Police detective who left his cell phone on a bus and then argued with a man who picked it up and refused to return it unless he paid money has been arrested after a gun clash in a food court, Jefferson County Sheriff authorities said Thursday morning.Former Denver detective Martin Vigil, 67, was arrested near the Southwest Plaza Mall food court Wednesday evening and faces charges of felony menacing and impersonating a peace officer.The trouble began Wednesday afternoon when Vigil got off a bus but accidentally left his phone behind, sheriff officials said in a press release.
